  1. Why would the Thessalonians have allowed people into their lives to teach them wrong things? When do you see that happening today? Has it ever happened to you? (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3)
  2. Why was it so important to Paul that these new believers understand what happens in the future? (2 Thessalonians 2:1-5) Why do so many today downplay the importance of future events amidst so many competing views?
  3. Paul’s statement; “The mystery of lawlessness is already at work”, is certainly descriptive of the demonic spirit of lawlessness that is at work in our culture. What are some obvious signs of this anti-Christ spirit in our day? (2 Thessalonians 2:7)
  4. Why is it important to encourage one another to stand firm, and how is that different from God’s people persevering to the end? (2 Thessalonians 2:15; John 10:28-29; Romans 8:38-39)
