Marriage
The Bible teaches the enduring truth.
The Bible clearly teaches the enduring truth that marriages consist of one man and one woman. From Genesis to Revelation, the authority of scripture witnesses to the nature of biblical marriage as uniquely bound to the complementarity of man and woman
Jesus Himself said that marriage is from the beginning. (Matt 19:4-6).
Marriage based on a complementarian structure is mysteriously a reflection of the gospel (Eph 5:32). Therefore, men are called on by God to lead their wife through servant leadership that reflects Jesus (Matt 11:28-30, Eph 5:28-29). Women on the other hand are to follow their husband as the church follows Christ (Eph 5:22-23).
Why is marriage only between a man and woman? (Matthew 19:4-6, I Corinthians 6:9-10)
How are the roles different for men and women in marriage? (Eph 5:22-29, I Peter 3:1-7)
