Christian Gratitude

Christian Gratitude – Deacon Brandon Dempsey

  1. Given the understanding that we are God’s chosen people, those who have been called and set apart, how should that influence the way we think about worldly platitudes such as #grateful, #kindness & #hope? How do we view these concepts, in principle, comparative to the world around us? (1st Peter 2:9-10)
  2. The bible tells us that we instinctively know the moral laws of God. (Romans 2:14-16). Give examples of how the moral laws of God are manipulated and twisted to the point where they are self-serving instead of God honoring.
  3. Think of some times in your life where you might have been ungrateful. Knowing that ungratefulness is a sin, what could you have done or what did you do to re-ignite the gratitude that we as Christians should always have? Think of some practical things that can be done to act in repentance.
  4. Give some biblical examples of individuals who displayed great gratitude towards God amid adversity. How can we follow their lead in honoring God?
  5. What scripture or verse would you use to help a brother or sister in Christ come out of a season of ingratitude?
