Christian Gratitude
Christian Gratitude – Deacon Brandon Dempsey
- Given the understanding that we are God’s chosen people, those who have been called and set apart, how should that influence the way we think about worldly platitudes such as #grateful, #kindness & #hope? How do we view these concepts, in principle, comparative to the world around us? (1st Peter 2:9-10)
- The bible tells us that we instinctively know the moral laws of God. (Romans 2:14-16). Give examples of how the moral laws of God are manipulated and twisted to the point where they are self-serving instead of God honoring.
- Think of some times in your life where you might have been ungrateful. Knowing that ungratefulness is a sin, what could you have done or what did you do to re-ignite the gratitude that we as Christians should always have? Think of some practical things that can be done to act in repentance.
- Give some biblical examples of individuals who displayed great gratitude towards God amid adversity. How can we follow their lead in honoring God?
- What scripture or verse would you use to help a brother or sister in Christ come out of a season of ingratitude?
