Genesis – Where it all began (Week 8)
A study through the book of Genesis (Week 8) – “Genesis – Where it all began”
Genesis 6
- Why did God continue to shorten men’s lives? Was God doing that to be gracious or because He was angry? (Genesis 6:3)
- Could people today be described in the same way as people were back then? If so, why have we not made any progress? (Genesis 6:5,11; II Timothy 3:13)
- Why do many people make the story of Noah out to be about morality, citing Noah as the one good person and therefore God saved him because of his goodness? (Genesis 6:8) Why is that wrong?
- What do you think it was like for Noah to obey God and build a ship while preaching repentance for 120 years without a single convert? (Genesis 6:14-22, Hebrews 11:7; II Peter 2:5) How does that compare with God’s calling in your life?
