  1. When we fail to forgive, we become bitter. How have you seen bitterness flesh itself out in people’s lives?
  2. How can one person’s bitterness lead to other people becoming bitter? (Hebrews 12:15) How does that happen in a home, a church, or a place of employment?
  3. How would modern progressives look at Philemon as a rich slave owner? How did Paul view him? Philemon 1:1-7
  4. Would you agree with the statement; “When people are not free from their past, they can’t enjoy their future”, why or why not?
