Genesis 48
  1. How was Jacob’s life driven by a promise made to him from God? (Genesis 48:3-4) Which promises of God’s primarily drive your life?
  2. How did Jacob go from pessimistic to optimistic? (Genesis 47:9; 48:15-16) When have you gone from pessimism to biblical optimism in your life?
  3. God changes things around from His normal way of doing things and it displeased Joseph. (Genesis 48:17-19) Can you think of any ways He might do that in our day?
  4. In what sense did Jacobs words produce blessings in his son’s life? (Genesis 48:20) In what sense do we bless our kids or others?
