Genesis – Where it all began (Week 41)
A study through the book of Genesis (Week 41)
Genesis 45-46
- Why do churches point people to Jesus to find forgiveness, but then turn right around and point them to Freudian psychology to find healing from sins done against them?
- How does Joseph’s understanding of God’s sovereignty affect his relationship with his brothers? (Genesis 45:4-7)
- The brothers despised the idea of submitting to Joseph. In the end, was it as bad as they thought it would be? (Genesis 37:5-10; 45:17-21) Can you think of any ways we are to submit that we despise when in fact God plans to use it for our good?
- There had to have been some difficult discussions opening up to their father about what had really happened to Joseph. Why is it better to come clean before getting caught rather than afterward? (Genesis 45:24-28; Proverbs 28:13)
